Public Policy Day

What is Public Policy Day?

Local United Ways play a crucial role in improving our community, but many policy decisions are made without the input of those they affect. Public Policy Day is an opportunity for United Ways throughout South Carolina to inform legislators about the local impact of issues related to education, financial stability, and health.

Join us on February 20, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. for the Common Good Awards at City Market Vista. This is a free event. The first half of the evening from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. will be reserved for networking. At 6:00 p.m. we will honor legislators who have made achievements in the past year to Advance the Common Good in South Carolina.

Public Policy Day will begin the following morning on February 21, 2018 at the SC Statehouse. Legislative appointment times will vary and will take place throughout the day. The Legislative Luncheon will be from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. and provide all participants the opportunity to network with legislators and their staffers.
